JMPScreenworks publication Vol 5.1

Part of my PhD work was published in this peer reviewed academic journal last fall 2014.  I first heard about this newish journal through an AVPHD conference which I presented at back in 2007 at Sussex University in the UK.  For those of you not familiar with this journal, the focus is on practice based media research, and it is a subsidiary publication of the Journal of Media Practice, which is itself published in the UK by Taylor and Francis Group.  I’m not sure if that means JMP is also published by Taylor and Francis, however I do know that JMP is also derived from the good people working over at The University of the West of England, Bristol, with support from the Digital Cultures Research Centre. The digital editor of JMPScreenworks is Steve Presence, with editor Charlotte Crofts, who were both incredibly helpful during the process of submission.  Overall the online peer review for this submission was a bit of a complicated process of revisiting the work, and trying to encapsulate the most important aspects of the research project for maximum impact.  I find that each time I go through this process, of trying to explain my PhD, I get to see my work in a different light through anothers’ critique.  You can read the online journal article at: JMPScreenworks publication Vol 5.1
